Cookie notice

Last updated 9 September 2026

This notice is published in English only. The rest of the site is available in seven languages, but a legal notice should say exactly what it means, so we do not publish machine translations of it. If anything here is unclear, please ask us and we will explain it in your language.

This site uses very few cookies, and the banner you saw on your first visit is the whole of the choice. This page explains what each one is for.

What we set

Strictly necessary

  • lh_consent and lh_consent_timestamp record the choice you made on the banner and when you made it, so we do not ask again on every page.
  • A session cookie set by our authentication provider keeps you signed in while you are using the application. It is not set for visitors who are only reading the public site.

Measurement

  • A random identifier stored in your browser tab, not a cookie, which lets us count one visit as one visit across several pages. It is discarded the moment you close the tab and it is never linked to a name unless you fill in a form yourself.

Choosing "necessary only"

Choosing "necessary only" stops the measurement described above entirely. It does not degrade the site: nothing on it depends on being measured. The same happens automatically if your browser sends a Do Not Track signal, and no measurement of any kind runs inside the signed-in application.

Changing your mind

Clearing this site's cookies in your browser will make the banner appear again, and you can answer differently. Your browser's own settings can also block cookies for this site altogether; the parts of the product that need a session to keep you signed in will stop working if you do that, which is a limitation of how signing in works rather than a choice we have made.

Third parties

We run no advertising trackers, no social media pixels and no cross-site analytics on this site. Where a page embeds a payment form, that provider sets its own cookies to make the payment work; see the privacy notice for who those providers are.

This site requires cookies

We use cookies to remember your preferences, keep you signed in, and ensure the best experience. You can accept all cookies or only the necessary ones. Read our cookie notice.
